RackFoundry 19-Inch SME Comms Room 24U Cooled Rack Kit
The SME Comms Room kit gives a small business, school or MSP client a complete, cooled 24U server cabinet in one order. It is built on the Datacel 24U floor-standing cabinet: 600mm wide, 800mm deep (about 750mm usable), 1270mm tall, rated for 600kg and fitted with a fan-ready vented roof.
We add a RackyRax RR-FT-4 4-way roof fan tray to move warm air out of the top, a Datacel 8-way UK vertical surge PDU, two StarTech 1U 16-inch vented cantilever shelves, two Excel 24-port Cat6 1U patch panels (48 ports in total) and two 1U 4-ring cable tidies.
Active cooling matters once you pass about 300W in a closed cabinet, which most comms rooms quickly do. Items ship from our UK partner to UK mainland addresses; the cabinet arrives kerbside on a pallet, so arrange help to move it indoors. Typical delivery is 1-7 working days.

Compatibility notes
- Suits devices up to about 675mm deep once cables are allowed for. Some full-depth 2U servers will be too deep.
- Fan tray needs a mains outlet: plan sockets on the PDU.
- Kerbside pallet delivery.

Frequently asked questions
Will my rack servers fit?
Servers up to about 675mm deep fit comfortably. For deeper servers, use the configurator; the 42U 1000mm RackyRax may be a better fit.
Do you install?
Not at present. We supply the kit; installation is by you or your IT provider.
