DeskPi DC PDU Lite 7-Channel 0.5U Rack PDU
The DeskPi DC PDU Lite replaces a pile of plug-in power bricks with one tidy 0.5U power distribution unit for DC-powered devices. It is designed for Raspberry Pi and single-board computer clusters and low-power mini-PCs that run from a barrel connector.
It accepts an input of up to 24V and 8A and splits it across seven output channels, each rated up to 3A. Each channel is protected by a self-resetting fuse that recovers after about four seconds, so a short on one device does not mean a trip to the fuse box.
As a rough guide, at 24V the total budget is about 190W, and about 72W per channel. Our configurator checks these limits for you. The PDU Lite needs a suitable DC power supply, which in turn needs a UK mains socket, so most builds pair it with our Kenable 10-inch 3-way UK PDU. It mounts with #10-32 screws in DeskPi racks.

Frequently asked questions
Can it power a Lenovo Tiny?
Only if the PC's voltage and current match what the PDU supplies and you have the right lead. Many one-litre PCs draw more voltage or current than a single channel provides, so check the label on your PC's power brick carefully.
What happens if I overload a channel?
The self-resetting fuse on that channel cuts power and recovers after about four seconds. Persistent overloads mean you should split the load.
